How the Landscape is Changing for Government IT -- and What to Do Next
When it comes to information technology (IT) for the US Federal Government, much of the core business happens in data centers. These data centers – ranging from tiny closets to entire buildings – store the information, process the data and power the applications that keep government agencies running. And they keep getting bigger and more complex as agencies build data center after data center and application after application to meet ever-growing requirements. In fact, of the U.S. federal government’s $76 billion budget for IT, $19 billion is spent on infrastructure alone, much of it duplicative.
