EQUATERRA ADDS TWO NEW PROMINENT OUTSOURCING CONSULTANTS TO TEAM

HOUSTON (June 14, 2004) —EquaTerra, the world’s first advisory and management services firm to deliver complete Sourcing Lifecycle Management (SLM)™ services to outsourcing buyers,  today announced it has hired two more highly prominent outsourcing executives; Mark Robinson, co-founder of Morgan Chambers, an IT and BPO sourcing consulting firm; and Vicki Tauscher, managing director of aligne, an IT management consulting firm.  The two new executives bring nearly 40 years of combined outsourcing and consulting experience to the EquaTerra team and its clients.

Mark Robinson
Mark Robinson is a renowned outsourcing professional and advisor with significant buy- and sell-side experience.  He excels in facilitating relationship building among the variety of parties involved in outsourcing transactions, and creatively tooling the commercial constructs that form the practical and contractual basis for the deals.  Mark joined EquaTerra after a short sabbatical away from the outsourcing industry; previously, he was the CEO and co-founder of Morgan Chambers plc, the leading European outsourcing advisory group.

While at Morgan Chambers, Mark was responsible for dozens of IT and Business Process outsourcing deals, with aggregate contract values in excess of $15 billion.  The transactions, throughout Europe and also in the US and Asia (several with global dimensions) were in a wide range of industries including banking & financial services, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, retail, and government.  In addition, he consulted with many of the worlds leading outsourcing companies, conceiving innovative commercial approaches and developing formalized processes for managing the outsourcing sales cycle.

Prior to founding Morgan Chambers in 1994, Mark was with the Sema Group, a leading European outsourcing vendor, where he was responsible for a number of large-scale IT outsourcing and BPO deals in the government, financial services, manufacturing, oil and gas and utilities sectors, primarily in Europe and but also in Africa and Asia.  Earlier in his career, Mark held IT executive positions with Citibank, Prudential and several other leading financial services institutions, where he gained significant buy-side experience in IT outsourcing.

Vicki Tauscher
Vicki Tauscher has nearly 20 years of expertise in the Information Technology field, twelve of which were with IBM where she was responsible for partnering with Fortune 100 top level executives to develop their strategic information technology plans.  She excels in helping guide clients and service providers to a mutually beneficial strategic partnership.  Before joining EquaTerra, she was managing director for aligne, a renowned IT management consulting firm.  While at aligne, she worked on sourcing strategies for a variety of clients including Bristol Myers Squibb, Penn Mutual Life Insurance, Seagram Spirits and Wine Group, PECO Energy, SmithKline Beecham and California State University (CSU.)  CSU was the first higher education organization in the country to outsource its student administration, finance and human resource operations.  At aligne, she was also responsible for business development, and overseeing operations, sales, marketing and personnel issues.

Vicki also has significant experience in the healthcare industry, having built aligne’s successful healthcare outsourcing specialty division that assisted more than 30 healthcare organizations with their sourcing strategies.  She gained her expertise in the healthcare industry through a variety of executive roles at the American Cancer Society.
