LONDON (August 23, 2007) – EquaTerra, the global sourcing advisory firm, today announced that industry veteran John Tilley has joined the company as Information Technology (IT) Practice Lead in Europe. John brings with him more than 30 years of IT outsourcing and management experience.

Prior to joining EquaTerra, John served as European Vice President of Perot Systems, a global technology services and business solutions provider. John was picked for this role by the company’s co-founder, Ross Perot Jnr., due to his great success in broadening the company’s penetration in the public sector, winning a variety of multi-million GBP deals, and ultimately turning around the company’s European operation.

John also had an extensive 12-year career at Sema Group. As Managing Director of the Sema Group plc organisation, his role was to oversee this FTSE100 company’s GBP1.4bn revenue and 25,000 employees worldwide. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Sema Group, UK, where he realigned the business into a coherent set of supply units that interfaced horizontally with vertical market sectors. This initiative enabled a 25 percent year on year growth, and more than doubled the company’s headcount. John also served in a number of strategic roles at Sema Group Outsourcing, including Managing Director, Commercial Director, Technical Director, and Business Development Manager.

Other career highlights include Chief Executive of IBA (Europe) Limited – a global supplier of Health IT solutions which he grew and then sold to InHealth Solutions, a software and managed services company addressing the NHS market – and Chief Executive of Totality Corporation, an application and infrastructure management services company.
