Rick Bertheaud
Rick Bertheaud has more than 20 years of experience in management consulting and senior-level financial management. Particular areas of expertise include process redesign, organization restructuring and change leadership in finance, human resource and procurement functions. His impressive client list includes Alcan, Siemens, Lockheed Martin, BP, Coca Cola Enterprises, ITT Industries, Sears, and Tupperware. Prior to joining EquaTerra, Rick was with Gunn Partners where he helped clients develop and improve administrative functions. In addition to his shared service experience, Rick gained expertise in outsourcing these functions as a chief architect of the HR and finance service delivery models for Exult. Rick also has significant corporate financial expertise including positions such as division controller for ARAMARK, a multi-billion service-sector conglomerate; corporate controller for OMNI Construction, Inc., a $500 million international commercial contractor; and CFO and CAO for Exxel Container, Inc., an international manufacturer of proprietary packaging containers for consumer product and pharmaceutical companies.
Rob Cornell
Rob Cornell is responsible for providing consulting, financial advisory and decision support services for EquaTerra clients engaged in global BPO and IT Outsourcing initiatives. His clients include AT&T Wireless, Agilent Technologies, Browning Ferris Industries, Credit Suisse First Boston, Compaq, Digital Equipment Corp, Enron, Ingersoll-Rand, Halliburton, Marathon Oil Company, and Noble Drilling. Prior to joining EquaTerra, Rob was a Senior Advisor at TPI, and before that, Vice President of Business Solutions for SourceNet Solutions Inc., a leading BPO service provider focused on accounts payable and payroll outsourcing services. Earlier in his career, Rob gained extensive experience in ERP software implementation while working for Accenture and Ford Dealer Computer Services.
Cathy Hyatt
Cathy Hyatt has more than 20 years of experience working with large and mid-market organizations in virtually every aspect of technology strategy and implementation. She has special competencies in large-scale IT outsourcing and governance, and in organizational change management. Before joining EquaTerra, Cathy was senior director of IT services at the California State Automobile Association (CSAA), a $2.6 billion auto club and insurance company. There, she was responsible for leading the company’s ITO initiative, completing a $500 million, 10-year agreement that reduced the company’s IT costs by over 20% per year while improving service, and providing access to a flexible pool of top-tier IT resources which allowed strategic initiatives to progress rapidly and at a significantly lower cost. She then served as the key manager responsible for ensuring the quality and price performance of the outsourced services, successfully adapting them to changing business conditions, and effectively managing service transitions related to the acquisition of a major supplier.
Cathy has also worked as an independent consultant specializing in IT sourcing, outsourcing and governance, and has co-owned a management consulting firm that specialized in the development and implementation of competitive strategy.
Dave Houston
Dave Houston possesses more than a decade of expertise in business process improvement and reengineering, offshoring, organizational restructuring, shared services and change management. Prior to joining EquaTerra, Dave was a director at Gunn Partners, where he was responsible for the planning and execution of client-facing consulting engagements. Major achievements while at Gunn Partners included migrating finance processes including invoice processing, travel and expense processing and vendor management for two major financial services companies to service centers in Mumbai, India; and leading the organizational design implementation for the regional operations of a major wireless telecommunications company which enabled the integration of a major acquisition in just two months. Before Gunn Partners, Dave was a senior consultant in Towers Perrin’s strategy and organization practice. In that role, he developed and implemented a shared services accounting function for a large multi-divisional energy company, significantly reduced the procurement costs within several different commodity groups for a major petro-chemical consortium, and assisted the COO of a major mortgage company in developing a five year strategic plan which outlined the business vision and several new initiatives designed to diversify the company into other financial services. |
