2Q09 Dutch EquaTerra Information Technology Pulse Survey Results

EquaTerra is pleased to release the findings from the 2Q09 Dutch information technology (IT) service provider Pulse survey. EquaTerra polls the market’s leading IT service providers on a quarterly basis to get a "pulse" on ITO market trends (and at a later stage also on BPO trends).

Since their inception in 2004, the EquaTerra Pulse surveys have yielded insightful market analyses including longitudinal comparisons derived from recurring topical themes. The Pulse surveys capture changes in demand, scope, capacity and related key market indicators. They highlight the changes and the direction of these changes, in the business and IT service industry as a whole. The surveys focus on where the market is going and how that direction is altering – or not – compared to prior quarters and years.

This edition of the Dutch service provider Pulse survey reflects IT market activity during 2Q09 (April through June 2009) and projections for the next quarter. Topics explored include:

The Pulse surveys focus on the usage of outsourcing and other third-party services to support the following functional areas:
  • Application Management: Application development, Systems integration, Functional application management & maintenance, Test management etc
  • Infrastructure Management: Application hosting / data centre, Technical application management & maintenance, Security management, External networks (WAN, external telco) etc
  • End-User Management: Internal networks (LAN, data/ voice to the end user), File, print and mail servers, Workplace management services (desktop), Workplace support services (help and service desk) etc
  • IT Consulting and Advisory Services
  • IT software implementation & integration services (project-based service)
The key Dutch IT service providers (with all respondents at executive/managing director level) that were polled for this quarter’s sell-side survey include, but are not limited to Accenture, Atos Origin, Capgemini, Fujitsu, Getronics, HP/ EDS, Logica, Schuberg Philis, TCS, T-Systems.
